The High Court on Wednesday summoned the law secretary for repeatedly denying its earlier order to submit a compliance over an issue.
He has to appear before the court in person on April 26 this year and to explain his position over not complying with an order passed on May 23 in 2019.
The High Court bench of Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar passed the order after hearing a petition filed in this regard.
In the order the court said it on May 23 in 2019 asked the law secretary to file an affidavit in compliance on or before August 27 in 2019 over the court query.
"Thereafter, the matter has been appearing in the cause-list on numerous occasions for submitting the compliance by the law secretary, but till today no compliance was filed by the secretary," the court said in the order.
