Hearing on Khaleda\\\'s leave petition Nov 27

The Appellate Division fixed November 27 (Tuesday) for hearing the leave petition filed by BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, an accused in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case, against a High Court (HC) verdict upholding the trial court order on charge framing, reports UNB.
A vacation chamber court of Justice M Abdul Wahhab Miah passed the order.
The hearing on the petition for seeking leave-to-appeal will take place in the regular bench of the SC.
Khandker Mahbub Hossain, assisted by Barrister Mahbubuddin Khokon, appeared for Khaleda Zia, while Attorney General Mahbubey Alam for the government. Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan stood for the Anti-corruption Commission (ACC).
Besides, the ACC filed the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case on July 3, 2008.
