Hindu community leader killed in Magura

MAGURA, Sept 13: A leader of Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Oikya Parishad was killed by miscreants in Naranpur village under Mohamadpur upazila of Magura Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Pankaj Bashu (52) of Naranpur village.
Sources in the family of the deceased informed that a group of 7-8 miscreants made an attack on him around 8:00 pm while he was returning home.
He was sent to Magura Sadar Hospital in a critical condition. But as his condition deteriorated, he was sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injury around 11:00 pm.
Mohammadpur police station Officer-in-Charge Motiar Rahman admitted the incident and said: "We are investigating the matter and the culprits will be arrested very soon."
Magura police super visited the spot and the dead body was sent to Magura Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
