Human chain formed to protest police assault

Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal, women front of BNP, formed a human chain in front of the National Press Club Saturday to protest 'police assault' on its leaders and workers during the November 30 countrywide hartal, reports UNB.
Leaders demanded resignation of the Home Minister for letting loose the police for atrocities on peaceful demonstration of women.
BNP front ranking leader Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir speaking at the function condemned the police action and strongly criticized the government for repression on women.
Mohila Dal president Noor-e-Ara Safa, general secretary Shirin Sultana, Razia Foyez and Rabea Siraj led the human chain.
