Abdul Quddus Makhan was attacked by a group of youths while paying his respects to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi Road No. 32 on Aug 15, reports bdnews24.com.
"I love Bangabandhu, so I went," said Makhan after the attack.
On Friday, Makhan said he was undergoing treatment at home as rumours spread on social media surrounding his death from a heart attack following the harassment.
However, he is dealing with a great deal of pain due to the injuries he sustained as the youths beat him up in the middle of the road.
