ICT indicts 16 Cox's Bazar men

A war crimes tribunal framed charges against 16 men from Maheshkhali of Cox's Bazar for the atrocities they committed during the Liberation War in 1971, reports BSS.
Of the accused, Salamatullah Khan, Moulavi Mohammad Nurul Islam, Osman Gani and Badsha Mia were on the dock when the judge read out the charges. They pleaded not guilty.
The rest 12 accused are on the run. So, charges framed against them could not be explained to them," International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 chairman Justice Md Shainur Islam said.
