ICT prosecutor Saiful fired

The government removed Thursday Omar Khaiyam M Saiful Islam, a prosecutor at the International Crimes Tribunals, on charge of misconduct, said prosecutor Hrishikesh Saha, referring to a letter issued by the Solicitor's office under the Law Ministry, reports UNB.
Sources in the ICTs prosecution said Omar, who had been made prosecutor in 2011, did not return home from the USA after the expiry of his two-week leave in April this year.
