Identified terrorists slaughter BNP man in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, May 14 (UNB): A BNP activist was Saturday slaughtered by identified terrorists in broad daylight at Dantmara in Fatikchhari Upazila.
Abdul Gani (50), the victim, was local BNP leader and president of Hoako Bazar Committee. His wounded associate Siraj (28), later died soon after he was taken to Feni Sadar Hospital.
Witnesses said Gani and Siraj were going to Hoako Bazar at about 3:00pm. His rival Anis and his supporters intercepted them on the way.
Sensing trouble, they ran to nearby house of Babul driver for shelter. Rivals chased and caught Gani, tied and slaughtered him in presence of inmates of the house.
Siraj in his bid to resist the killers was fatally wounded. He was rushed to Feni Sadar Hospital, where he died soon after admission.
