Imran H Sarkar's nomination form gets rejected

KURIGRAM, Dec 02 (UNB): The retuning officer on Sunday rejected the nomination paper of Ganajagaran Mancha spokesperson Imran H Sarkar for Kurigram-4 constituency due to the absence of the signatures of 1 percent voters.

RO Sultana Parveen, also the deputy commissioner of the district, announced the cancellation in the afternoon.

According to the Election Commission, the nomination paper of Imran H Sarkar did not contain the signatures of required 1 percent voters of the constituency.

Nomination papers of 18 other candidates in different parliamentary seats of the district were also revoked during the scrutiny.
