GAZIPUR, June 26 (BSS): Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu, MP, said Thursday Khaleda Zia is leader of militancy. She is not a democratic leader. She wants to run the country with her son but that is not possible.

"I want to make it clear that either militancy survives or we. Both cannot coexist," he said.

The minister said this while addressing the conference of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASOD), Gazipur unit.

Hasanul Huq Inu said, referring to Khaleda Zia, "She does not believe in democracy. She is in association with Razakars.  Therefore, there is no question of discussion with her. Those who had killed people in their sleep, those who have manhandled our mothers, killed our fathers and humiliated our sisters, we will have nothing to do with them. The trial of war criminals is continuing and it will go on. Their associates will also be tried. They, too, will have to face the gallows."

He further said, "If the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu had not been killed, no military rule imposed, the country would have been much better off. If we (JSD) had been in power there would not have been any poverty. There would have been no unemployment".

The information minister said, "JSD is one of the leading parties of the country. It is a party committed against communalism and militancy. We want to build a prosperous Bangladesh. As long as we survive we will not allow fundamentalism and communalism to spread roots here."
