Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu, MP, called upon Saturday the administration and media to refrain from engaging in nepotism based on familiarity or party affiliation, reports BSS.
He was speaking at a function organised by Bangladesh Press Institute (PIB), Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of Dhaka University on "Media Award for fighting corruption in Bangladesh".
The acting chairman of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, University of Dhaka, Professor Golam Rahman, chaired the meeting while those who spoke at the function included the chairman of ACC Md Badiuzzaman, Information Secretary Mortuza Ahmed, Director General of Press Institute of Bangladesh Shah Alamgir and others.
