The Jamaat-e-Islami has submitted its amended constitution and bank account details to the Election Commission (EC), six years after its registration was cancelled, reports bdnews24.com.
A letter signed by the party's Secretary General Mia Golam Porwar was handed over to the EC's Election Assistance Branch on Wednesday,.
Ahead of the 10th parliamentary elections, however, the party's registration was revoked. Jamaat submitted its last income and expenditure report before the registration was cancelled in 2013. After the July Uprising, the party regained its registration earlier this year.
As per legal requirements, Jamaat submitted its financial report on July 31.
