Jamaat Funding: BD takes it seriously

The government is looking into the reported funding to Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami 'seriously' to unearth the fact, said State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam on Saturday, reports UNB.

"We've seen the Indian media report. We're taking it very seriously and investigation in this regard has been launched," he told reporterts at a city hotel after attending a function.

There was 'adequate procedure' between Bangladesh and India to exchange intelligence reports, Shahriar said adding that neither Bangladesh nor India would allow anybody to use their soil for terrorism.
