CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Aug 23 (UNB): Police in a drive arrested a leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh from Syampur bridge area of Shibganj upazila on Sunday on sabotage charges.
The arrestee was identified as Abu Bakar (37), son of Shukur Uddin, a resident of Kironganj village of the upazila and a Jamaat rukon.
SM Moynul Islam, officer in-charge (OC) of Shibganj thana, said they conducted a drive in the area around 5:30pm and arrested him.
