Jamaat leader held with bombs in Ctg

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have detained a Jamaat-e-Islami activist with crude explosives and petrol bombs in Chittagong, reports bdnews24.com.

BGB Chittagong area Additional Director Major Tanvir Mahmud said Imran ( 40) was arrested from his house on the Chandagaon Aman Ali road on Monday night.

BGB officials also recovered four crude bombs and five petrol bombs from the house.

He told reporters that they had raided the house on the basis of a tip-off.

Meanwhile, 11 BNP-Jamaat leaders and activists were arrested from different parts of the port city after a nightlong raid until Tuesday morning, said Naimul Hasan, Additional Superintendent of Police.
