MAGURA, Jan 16 (BSS): Bangladesh Jamaat-e Islami central Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman on Thursday expressed the hope that his party would build up a humanitarian society in the country along with all Islamic parties if they are elected.
"Jamaat-e Islami has been working for building a nation based on humanity and justice…If the party comes to power with the mandate of the people, the party will form humanitarian nation and society along with all the Islamic parties", he said.
The Jamaat chief expressed his desire while addressing a party workers council as the chief guest at Nomani Maidan.
If Jamaat comes to power, Dr Shafique said, Justice, equality and human values will be established in the country, adding "We want a happy and prosperous Bangladesh where people's rights would be ensured and Islamic human values would be established in every steps of the society."
