Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will hold a press conference today (Friday) to present its reaction to the proposed national budget for FY2026-27.
The programme is scheduled to begin at 11:30am at the party's central office in the capital's Moghbazar, according to a press release issued on Thursday.
Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair, assistant secretary general and head of Jamaat's central media and publicity department, said senior central leaders of the party would attend the event and outline the party's observations and position on the proposed budget.
Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury unveiled a Tk 9.38-trillion national budget for FY2026-27 in parliament on Thursday.
