JCD activist of N'ganj arrested

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested fugitive former president of Narayanganj district Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Jakir Khan from Bashundhara area on Friday night in the capital.

It also recovered a foreign made pistol and magazine from his possession.

Commander of RAB-11 Lieutenant Colonel Tanvir Mahmud Pasha disclosed the information in a press release issued on Saturday.

The crime buster elite force said that several cases including four murder cases were filed against him and he served in jail.

He came out from jail after getting bail.

He went hiding in several places including inside and outside the country (Thailand and India).

The court in the verdict gave him jail award in his absentia.

He returned back to the country via India recently and have been living with his family at Bashundhara area in the city.

Process is underway to take next legal action against Jakir Khan, according to RAB-11.
