Pro-BNP Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) called on Monday a strike at Dhaka University (DU) for tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday demanding that a congenial atmosphere for political coexistence on the campus be ensured, reports UNB.
JCD President Rajib Ahsan and General Secretary Akramul Hasan announced the strike through a press release.
They said the strike is also meant for putting an end to repression on their leaders and activists and general students.
The JCD leaders also threatened that they will go for an indefinite student strike at the premier public university if the authorities fail to meet their demands by the time.
