JCD strike at JU until Thursday

Pro-BNP Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit has called a strike on the campus to press home their four demands including creating a congenial atmosphere for political coexistence.

The strike will begin today (Monday) and continue until Thursday next. JCD President Jakirul Islam made an announcement in this connection through a press release on Sunday.

Their other demands are resignation of the proctorial body, providing opportunity for the leaders and activists to take part in the examinations, withdrawing their expulsion orders and all kinds of cases against them.

They said the strike is also meant for putting an end to repression on their leaders and activists and general students.
