MYMENSINGH, Oct 4 (UNB): A tribunal here Wednesday sentenced an activist of the banned Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) to three years rigorous imprisonment (RI).
The convict was identified as Moniruddin alias Hira.
According to the prosecution, police arrested Hira from the court premises on August 12 on charge of patronising JMB activists.
They also recovered a map of the district, Jihadi books, a mobile phone set and some leaflets from his possession.
After examining the records and witnesses, Magistrate of the Speedy Trail Tribunal Shefali Begum handed down the verdict.
