JMB ‘boss’ held in Chittagong

CHITTAGONG, Mar 23 (UNB): Police arrested a suspected top leader of banned Islamic militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from a house at Baganbari area of the city on Monday morning.
The arrested was identified as Ershad (22), hailing from Dinajpur district.
Subir Das, officer-in-charge (OC) of Akbar Shah thana said on a tip-off, a team of police raided a house in the area and arrested Ershad around 7:30 am.
The law enforcers also recovered huge explosives, bomb-making materials and jihadi books from the house.
