Joint forces arrest AL leader

LAXMIPUR, Oct 10 (UNB): Joint forces arrested Poura Awami League (AL) President Ismail Hossain alias Ismail Montri from Uttar Bus Stand area in the district town Wednesday afternoon on charge of land grabbing and extortion.
Joint forces source said Ismail Hossain, a follower of district AL leader Abu Taher, engaged in committing different crimes declaring himself as the "Home Minister".
A case was filed against him under Emergency Powers Rules.
