Queen Elizabeth II has said Bangladesh and Britain need to work closely to address the challenges of global climate change.
The Queen expressed concern that the adverse effects of climate change were contributing to the recurrent floods in many countries including Bangladesh.
She made the remarks while talking to Bangladesh High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Shafi U Ahmed during the presentation of his credentials to the Queen Thursday, according to a message received in Dhaka Tuesday, reports UNB.
The high commissioner praised the lead role of Britain in addressing climate change issues.
