RANGPUR, Mar 13 (BSS): Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina's son noted IT expert Sajeeb Wazed Joy, who is also IT adviser to the PM, will address a big public rally at Rangpur Zilla School ground here on March 16 next.
The information was disclosed at a views-sharing meeting, with the local journalists, jointly organised by the district and city units of Awami League (AL) at its office here on Wednesday afternoon to make the March 16 rally successful.
Earlier, Acting President of district AL Mamtaz Uddin and President of city unit AL Shafiar Rahman Shafi presided over two preparatory meetings there participated by the leaders of district, upazila and city units of AL and its front organisations.
Acting district AL President Mamtaz Uddin, its General Secretary (GS) Advocate Rezaul Karim Raju, city AL President Shafiar Rahman Shafi, its GS Tushar Kanti Mandal, leaders of AL and its front organisations addressed meeting with the journalists.
The AL leaders informed that Sajeeb Wajed Joy will address the public rally to be arranged jointly by the district and city units of AL in the afternoon as the chief guest with Acting district AL President Mamtaz Uddin in the chair.
Later, Joy, grandson of Bangabandhu and son of internationally reputed nuclear scientist Dr MA Wazed Miah will go to his paternal village Fotehpur Laldighee in Pirganj Upazila and offer Fateha and munajats at the grave of his father.
He will also attend a meeting with the local leaders and workers of AL and its front organisations of Pirganj Upazila in his paternal village in the evening on the same day before departing for Dhaka on the next day.
