JP secy gen changed to appease PM: Gayeshwar

BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy Sunday said Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman HM Ershad has changed his party secretary general just to appease the Prime Minister, reports UNB.

"Ershad has made Ziauddin Bablu secretary general removing Ruhul Amin Howlader to appease the Prime Minister," he said.

The BNP leader was addressing a discussion, organised by Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Pratyagato Probashi Dal at the National Press Club.

JP Chairman HM Ershad made Thursday Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu secretary general of the party removing Ruhul Amin Hawlader from the post.

Accusing the government of carrying out repressive acts, Gayeshwar said, "We have to apply medicine what the government deserves. And we have to apply it by taking to the streets."

BNP chairperson's adviser Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, among others, spoke at the programme held with Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Pratyagato Probashi Dal president SM Tofazzel Hossain in the chair.
