JP stages walkout over Bank Co. Bill passage

The main opposition Jatiya Party (JP) staged on Tuesday a brief walkout from Parliament protesting the passage of Bank Company (Amendment) Bill 2018, reports UNB
Talking to reporters, Opposition Chief Whip Tajul Islam Choudhury said they staged a walkout as Finance Minister in his speech said there is no more scope to make any change in the bill before the placement of amendment motions in the House.
"Since we've not placed our amendment motions for the bill, there is no scope for the Finance Minister to say that it is not possible for him to accept amendment proposals and he requested us to withdraw our amendment proposals," he said.
Tajul said at this stage they tried to bring the issue to notice of Deputy Speaker who was in the chair, but the Speaker did not allow them to speak.
