JS body for Kaptai dredging, stopping illegal logging in CHT

Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Planning asked the authorities concerned Wednesday to take necessary measures for dredging of Kaptai Lake and stopping illegal logging in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) area, reports BSS.
At a meeting, the committee members also called for taking proper steps to promote the tourism industry in the CHT area in the greater interest of national economy.
Committee Chairman Colonel (retd) Oli Ahmed Bir Bikram presided over the meeting.
