The Parliamentary Standing Committee on LGRD and Cooperatives Ministry recommended Monday taking punitive actions against those involved in ADP allocation anomalies and fake organisations in Dhaka Zila Parishad, reports UNB.
It also suggested the ministry to submit a report the committee on allocations made for all the Zila Parishads and their expenditures in the last fiscal year.
The parliamentary watchdog came up with the suggestions at its 3rd meeting, held at Jatiya Sangsad with its chairman Abul Hasnat Abdullah in the chair.
The committee suggested the ministry to set up the Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA) each in Barisal, Sylhet and Rangpur divisional cities as in four other divisional cities - Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi and Khulna.
