JS body recommends reclaiming BR lands

The parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Communications has recommended taking necessary steps to reclaim the lands of Bangladesh Railway (BR) from their illegal occupants within a month and lease those by the following month.
The recommendation came from the 24th meeting of the parliamentary committee held at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban in the city Sunday with its Chairman Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the chair, reports UNB.
Committee members M Jillul Hakim, HM Golam Reza, M Ekramul Karim Chowdhury, M Abu Jahir, M Golam Moula Ronny and Apu Ukil were present in the meeting.
The JS body also discussed the reasons behind the delay in launching the construction work on the Padma Bridge and overall progress of the mega project.
