JS body visits Karwan Bazar kitchen mkt

Members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Commerce Ministry Thursday visited Karwan Bazar kitchen market in the city to see the supply and prices of essential commodities, reports BSS. Committee Chairman ABM Abul Quashem, MP, led the delegation during the visit. Committee Member M Jainal Abedin, took part in the visit, among others. The committee members talked to the buyers and the sellers in the market and expressed satisfaction that the commodities were being sold at government-fixed rates ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Azha. Later, they said that the supply of goods in the market is adequate and the prices were lower at present compared to the past.
