JS body worried over India\\\'s river linking

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Water Resources Ministry expressed on Wednesday grave concern over India's inter-river linking project, reports UNB.

The parliamentary body at its 3rd meeting at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with committee Chairman Ramesh Chandra Sen in the chair suggested the foreign ministry to collect detailed information about the project and decide the next course of action after knowing attitude of the Indian government.

After the standing committee meeting, Ramesh Chandra told a media briefing that the proposed national budget of the India government allocated Rs 100 crore for the inter-river linking project.
