JS team visits ordnance factory

GAZIPUR, Aug 20 (BSS) : The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the ministry of defence Thursday visited the Bangladesh Ordnance Factory (BOF) here and appraised the functioning of various production facilities.
Chairman of the committee M Idris Ali led the seven-member team. BOF commandant Maj Gen Nizam Ahmed briefed the team and took them round the factory.
It saw the production facility of Rifle BD-08, production of other weapons and ammunition, other associated factories, laboratories and the BOF administrative building.
The team expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the factory.
