JU suspends 6 BCL men

The Jahangirnagar University (JU) authorities suspended six activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of JU unit for their involvement in a clash between two dormitories.
The decision was taken following recommendation of the disciplinary committee at an emergency syndicate meeting at the Senate Bhaban Thursday night.
The suspended BCL men are Shamim Ahmed of International Relation department, Rashed Khan Menon of Law and Justice department and Imran Hossain Nasir of Anthropology department. All of them are 2nd year students and  residents of Shaheed Rafiq Jabber Hall.
They were suspended for six months.  
Other suspended BCL activists are Istiak Ahmed of Zoology department, Dip of Mathematics department and Kaushik of Public Administration department. All of them are 2nd year students and residents of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall.
They were  suspended for three months.
The JU authorities gave warning to Sajol Ahmed, a 2nd year student of Archaeology department.
On May 11, at least three BCL men of JU were injured in a clash between two factional groups of BCL.
