Jubo Dal leader shot dead in Lakshmipur

A group of 'masked' men has shot dead a Jubo Dal leader in Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila, reports bdnews24.com.

The deceased Saddam Hossain (25) was BNP youth front's joint secretary general.

According to the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Md Junayet Kausar, the incident took place at a tea-stall near the Bijoynagar Kothabari area around 8:00 pm Sunday.

Quoting the locals, ASP Kausar told reporters that Saddam was at the tea-stall near his house, when at least fifteen armed men attacked him. He died on the spot.

Police later sent the body to the Sadar Hospital morgue.

It bore marks of fourteen bullet wounds, said the ASP.
