Jubo League leader Rinku arrested in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Mar 08 (BSS): The joint forces arrested Jubo League leader Nur Alam Rinku on Saturday from the city's bus terminal area under the ongoing Operation Devil Hunt (ODH).

"Arrested Nur Alam Rinku is the organising secretary of Rangpur Metropolitan Jubo League," Rangpur Metropolitan Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Ataur Rahman told the news agency on Saturday.

Rinku was arrested in a case filed in connection with the attacks on the processions of the anti-discrimination student-people's movement in the city during the July-August uprising.

He had been in hiding since the fall of Hasina's fascist regime, which committed genocide in the July-August student and people's uprising.
