July Unity demands removal of ‘AL-ally’ bureaucrats

July Unity, a coalition of 80 organisations formed after July, held a 'March to Secretariat' on Tuesday, demanding removal of Awami League (AL) allies and corrupt bureaucrats.

The platform also presented a list of 44 officials who they identified as corrupts.

As per their pre-announced programme, the march began at 11:00 am from the Raju Memorial Sculpture at Dhaka University. However, police barricaded the procession and stopped it in front of the Secondary and Higher Education Division office in the capital.

Later, the protesters staged a sit-in at the spot. However, a five-member delegation comprising Mosaddeq Ali Ibne Mohammad, AB Zubayer, Plabon Tarique, Israfil Farazi, and Borhan Mahmud met with Cabinet Division Secretary Dr.Sheikh Abdur Rashid.
