Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) warned on Friday that justice would be meted out through legal process for all political killings, incidents of enforced disappearance and oppression on the opponents.
BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan made the comment while talking to the members at the residence of the party's local leader Imtiaz Ahmed Bulbul in the capital's Gopibagh area.
He claimed that Imtiaz Ahmed Bulbul died in prison for want of proper treatment.
Mentioning that BNP is still on its movement to restore democracy in the country, he said, "BNP will restore democracy and establish rules of law in the country in the days to come."
He said that BNP announced programmes in accordance with the situation.
Meanwhile, BNP standing committee member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan visited party's joint secretary general Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal at the latter's residence in the capital.
Earlier Mr Alal was released from prison on bail.
He had been arrested last year in connection with different cases filed over violent clashed that took place between police and BNP activists during party's grand rally on October 28, 2023 in the capital.
