Ganoforum president and noted jurist Dr Kamal Hossain exchanging views with journalists at his residence in the city Thursday. — Focus Bangla Photo Ganoforum (GF) president Dr Kamal Hossain called for greater national unity Thursday under a well-organised, strong platform, reports UNB.
He made the call from a views exchange programme with the senior journalists on contemporary political situation of the country at his Bailey Road residence in the evening.
Dr Kamal said: "A consensus is already there among the majority of the people about a free and fair election, justice, good governance and the fundamental principles of our constitution.
"We've a tremendous future ahead of us. We've to beware of those who try to disrupt our unity and practise the politics of division," he added.
Reminding the government of its assurances before the January 5 elections, the eminent jurist said there is no alternative to a fresh national election, acceptable to all, with the participation of all parties.
