KCC mayor, another employee charged

KHULNA, Nov 2 (UNB): A case was filed against Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Mayor Sheikh Tayubur Rahman and Public Relations Officer Sarder Abu Taher Thursday on charge of corruption.
NM Hafizur Rahman, a suspended employee of the KCC, filed the case.
In his complaint, Hafizur Rahman alleged that the KCC mayor demanded Tk 0.3 million (3.0 lakh) from him as toll through Public Relations Officer Abu Taher for his promotion when he was working as assistant director of the Municipal Service Project of the KCC.
