Detained former prime minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia has asked the government to send her sick younger son Arafat Rahman Koko to Singapore or Bangkok for treatment.
BNP chairperson's lawyer Ahmed Azam Khan broke the news to journalists after he went to see Khaleda at the sub-jail in the city's Sangsad Bhaban complex at 3:10 pm Wednesday, reports bdnews24.com.
The BNP chief has expressed concern about the inclusion of the case filed against her with Tejgaon Police Station under the emergency powers rules, the lawyer said.
