Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu Tuesday said that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is the 'queen of falsehood', reports BSS.
"Government is trying to bring peace in country but she (Begum Zia) is using the strategy of terrorism and violence in the name of politics and trying to spread turmoil across the country. She has become the 'Queen of Falsehood'."
The Minister said this while speaking at a press conference regarding the present political situation prevailing in the country at Secretariat.
Blaming Begum Zia for instigating media using false information he said: "She is making trap to kill his own leader and activists and trying to spread turmoil by telling fabricated stories of killing 152 BNP leaders."
"Their spontaneous participation on Upazila election proves that Government has not taken any step against Begum Zia or her party though they have taken a stand against the government and the Constitution," he said.
UNB report adds: The Information Minister Tuesday regretted failure of the administration in unearthing the mystery behind the murder of journalist-couple Sagar and Runi although two years have passed after the tragic incident.
"I'm sorry and express my regret. Although being delayed, yet (mystery behind) the killing will be uncovered as the government is sincere in this regard," he said at press conference at the secretariat.
