Khaleda militants\\\' analog leader: Inu

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Sunday described BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia as an analog leader of militants while Sheikh Hasina as the digital Prime Minister, reports UNB.

He made the remarks while addressing the 'Best Portal Award' giving ceremony arranged by Access to Information (A2I) Programme of the Prime Minister's Office at Biam auditorium in the city.

A2I programme awarded 34 national web portals at union, upazila, district and division levels on the basis of construction, regular updating and enriching of websites.

Observing that the prevention of militancy is a must to secure democracy in the country, Inu said the proper use of Information and Communication Technology can help in this regard.

He also said the advancement of ICT can help the government fight against poverty, environment disaster and gender discrimination.

The minister said militancy should be uprooted to protect democracy while falsehood and half truth be rooted out to save media.
