Khaleda tells lies at every Iftar party : Nasim

Health Minister Mohammad Nasim said on Tuesday BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia lies every day prior to Iftar, which is not supported by Islam, reports BSS.

"Our religion doesn't permit us of resorting to falsehood keeping iftar items in front of us. But, the BNP chairperson is continuously doing so ignoring the norms and values of Islam," he said while addressing a discussion as the chief guest.

Sammobadi Dal organised the discussion titled "BNP-Jamaat's Unholy Alliance is Barrier to Democratic Advancement" at the National Press Club in the city with its general secretary and former industries minister Dilip Barua presiding.

Referring to BNP chairperson's comment on keeping 50,000 leaders and activists of BNP in jails, Nasim, also a Presidium Member of the ruling Awami League, said, "It is nothing but a blatant lie as the jails have capacity to accommodate only 33,000 prisoners."

Calling upon all to remain alert to stop recurrence of the August 15, 1975 like massacre, he also said, "No national election will be held prior to 2019."
