Khaleda under close observation, says physician

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been kept under close observation of physicians at Evercare Hospital in the city for various ailments, according to her personal physician Prof Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, reports UNB.

"Madam Khaleda Zia is undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital due to sickness and at one stage, she was shifted to the CCU due to deterioration of her overall condition including liver, kidney, heart and lung functions. But now she is under close observation of the medical board," he said.

Sharmila Rahman Shinthi, wife of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's late son Aarafat Rahman Koko, has been staying with her at the hospital while Kahleda's sister Selima Islam, brother Shamim Iskandar, Kanij Fatema are inquiring about her health condition round the clock.

The BNP chief was admitted to the hospital on August 09 as she fell sick. She was shifted to the CCU on Sunday night as per the recommendation of the medical board. Later, she was again shifted to the cabin from CCU on Monday morning.
