BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will address a public rally in Joypurhat to mobilise public support in favour of her party's demand for holding a fresh national election, reports UNB.
Joypurhat district unit BNP will arrange the rally at RB High School ground today.
This will be Khaleda's 3rd rally outside the capital after the January-5 election.
Earlier, Khaleda addressed rallies in Rajbari and Munshiganj districts.
Sunday's rally is also meant for drumming up public opinion against the 'growing' incidents of extrajudicial killing and forced disappearance.
Khaleda will also console the family members of those killed and hurt during the party's movement before the January-5 election.
Meanwhile, Khaleda, also a former prime minister, left her Gulshan residence around 4:35pm on Saturday as she embarked on a two-day tour of the country's northern region to address a public rally in Joypurhat.
She is scheduled to stay overnight at Bogra Circuit House on Saturday and start for Joypurhat on Sunday noon.
The BNP chief will address the rally in the afternoon and then return to Dhaka at night.
