KHULNA, Aug 2 (BSS): Khulna City Unit of Awami League (AL) Friday chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the 39th National Mourning Day, commemorating the death of the Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15.
The programmes include hoisting of national and party flags half mast atop the offices, hoisting of black flags, wearing black badges, placing of floral wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation at 7.00 am.
Afterwards, a discussion on Bangabandhu's life and politics will be held at the party office at 9.30am following a mourning procession.
