KU teachers protest killing of Avijit

KHULNA, Mar 2 (BSS): Swadhinata Shikshak Parisad of Khulna University (KU) formed a human chain on its campus and wore black-badges today (Monday) to protest the killing of writer Avijit Roy, and his wounded wife Rafida Ahmed.

Chaired by the Parisad president Prof Dr Ahmed Ahsanuzzaman, the programme was addressed, among others, by Prof Dr Md Sarwar Jahan, Prof Dr Sarder Shafiqul Islam, Prof Dr Md Abdul Mannan, Prof Dr Md Moniruzzaman, Prof Dr Anirvan Mostofa, Prof Dr Afroza Parveen and Prof Hosne Ara. The teachers demanded immediate arrest of the killers of Avijit.
