Law minister for judicial probe into AL men\\\'s \\\'crossfire\\\' deaths

Law minister Anisul Haq said on Thursday a judicial inquiry into the reported crossfire deaths of some ruling party activists should be conducted if any complaint comes in this regard, reports UNB.

"It's better to conduct a judicial inquiry in such cases because if anyone commits any crime he or she can be brought to book. If nothing illegal happened in these incidents, the law enforcers, against whom allegations have been brought, will get cleared," he said while talking to reporters at his ministry.

Responding to a question why tribunals for preventing human trafficking are not being set up in every division to quickly dispose of such cases, the minister said the tribunals will be formed soon if the Finance Ministry makes fund allocations and the Public Administration Ministry takes initiatives speedily in this regard.

Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal will deal with the cases related to human trafficking until the new tribunals are set up, the minister said.
