"The leaders of the leftist parties were called in to take part in discussions on Tuesday (today), but we have yet to receive an official letter," said Saiful Haque, coordinator of the eight-party's alliance.
"A senior Awami League leader called us over the phone and instructed us to be ready for talks with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Ganabhaban around 2:00 pm on November 06," he told the news agency.
The Awami League leader also assured that an official letter will be issued soon to confirm the invitation, Haque said.
A list of 16 leaders had already been sent to the prime minister urging her for discussions with the Bam Ganatantrik Jote, he said. "We are ready to take part in the dialogue."
